American Lutheran Church has been a spiritual haven, a locus of faith, hope and love, for residents of Shoshone County since 1938. What are these qualities?

Paul of Tarsus, in the passage above, refers to three of the pillars of Christianity; faith, hope, and love.

Martin Luther defines faith as "God's work in us, that changes us and gives new birth from God." (Luther on Faith)

Why, then, is love the greatest of the three? One reason is that love is the manifestation of the other two here on Earth, our fellow humans.
